A forced perspective display of condominium-style birdhouses, with sneaky cats popping up in several spots. A singular little bird is successfully avoiding their daunting hunt, happily placed right in the middle. The mural was created as part of the Beltline Urban Murals Project (BUMP).

The east-facing wall of Vantage Community Services was designed to encourage & support the youth centre. Inspired by the changing seasons & their cycles of growth, each bird represents our progression & experience through life in our natural world. The main wall in Q.Lab Coffee Roasters features the flowering plant of Coffea arabica, known as Arabica coffee. Matching the company branding with simple black line work, the mural hosts the space for specialty coffee & tea tasting.

‘Acceptus’, private home, Calgary, Alberta

Mirroring the modern architecture and decor of a private home, the mural engages guests at the main entrance. The title is the Latin word ‘acceptus’, translated to a pleasant ‘welcome’’.

‘Life of the Letter’, Lethbridge Post

A landmark destination, the heritage Lethbridge Post building is located on 4th Avenue in Lethbridge, Alberta. The mural design details heritage buildings found throughout the city, fostered by photo research & news articles. Wrapping around 480 square feet on the interior of the building, the colourful mural merges historic stories & modern restoration.

‘Growing Hope’, 644 2 St SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta

A custom design for the Medicine Hat Women's Shelter Society, supporting individuals impacted by family violence by providing them with safe shelter, education, advocacy, & access to community resources. The abundance of flowers featured in the mural serves as a powerful visual metaphor, symbolizing growth, resilience, & renewal.

‘Buena Onda’, Instituto Iguana, Mazunte, Oax., Mexico

Inspired by a conversation about the cyclical nature of life, this mural decorates an international cultural center in Mazunte, Mexico, where language education is beautifully tied to the local environment. With a circular base symbolizing growth, it incorporates linocut patterns filled with depictions of local animals, flora, and fauna. Situated in the school's picturesque grounds overlooking the ocean, the mural is a vibrant testament to the integration of art, culture, and education.

‘Our Colourful Life’, 1310 16 St SW, Calgary, Alberta

With a focus on the historical roots of the Sunalta community, a suburban haven on CP Rail-owned land in 1909, the mural pays homage to the Art Nouveau movement, prevalent during Calgary's transition to a city in 1890-1910. The modern Sunalta Community Wildflower Garden offers an open, bright, & welcoming space.

A private Apiary nestled within city limits, the mural captures the essence of nature's harmony. A vibrant depiction of buzzing bees & intricate honeycomb patterns celebrate the vital role of bees in pollination & the beauty of a natural ecosystem.
